..is a vacant, disregarded, and quite small waterfront property that sits directly on the Passaic River. The 90 mile river faces an extremely challenging and necessary environmental cleanup program, but remains a beautiful body of water that supports Nereid Boat Club regattas and resilient wildlife. NJ’s industrialization in the 1800s created an attitude that it was acceptable to dump waste into the Passaic. Luckily the Riverkeepers are present to reclaim and protect the Passaic desipte this past sin. Cleaning the river up is an enormous job and we are grateful for the commitment and passion of those diligent and kind individuals. A single family home, designed by Messana O’Rourke, will soon be built on this property to celebrate the water and respect its connection to this community.
